Each season in Tuli Wilderness offers a unique perspective — from the stunning green, lush summers to the dry, wildlife-rich winters — making it a rewarding destination year-round.

Summer (November to March)

Summer transforms the bush into a gorgeous, lush, green wilderness!

Known as the rainy season, the rivers are full and the bush is alive – the days are hot, with afternoon thunderstorms that are welcomed by wildlife and guests alike.

It is a beautiful time to go on Safari – excellent for birding, with migratory species arriving, and also for witnessing newborn animals and dramatic scenery!

Approximate chance of Rainfall: 21% chance of a wet day

Autumn (April to May)

Autumn brings milder temperatures and diminishing rainfall.

The bush remains green, roads are in good condition, and wildlife viewing is rewarding as animals begin concentrating around water sources.

It is a comfortable and scenic time to visit!

Winter (June to August)

Winter is dry and cool, with crisp mornings and warm days.

Vegetation thins out, the landscape becomes dry, and this makes wildlife easier to spot. Water sources become scarce and are therefore the focal points for animal activity.

This is considered peak game-viewing season and is ideal for walking and photography.

Spring (September to October)

Spring is hot and dry, with temperatures rising before the rains return.

Wildlife sightings remain excellent as the water sources continue to diminish, and animals gather near anything remaining.

The landscape takes on a raw, dramatic beauty, with stark backdrops to the high wildlife concentrations.
